It has lowered the overall odor in my home and completely eliminated the pungent odor from daily hookah smoking from my dining and sitting room in about a month running on auto-mode. The 5 speeds it has goes from a soft soft whisper up to a bit of a roar and the amount of air it moves is noticeable too. I've been using it for a nearly 2 months now and believe it's very effective. I have a chronic low level sinus issue where stuff in the air can really bother them and many times don't breathe well at night and wake up very fuzzy-headed, but in the first week of having the 2 different Electrolux purifiers in the house I wake up feeling alert and clear-headed now. I certainly didn't expect that!
